About the Rococo Salon

Passion for hairdressing and what it brings to ones life was the inspiration behind the paradigm shift in our new salon.

The faces behind the Rococo Experience concept are Nazim Monet and Karen Browning; both have been hairdressing for 25 years and are award wining stylists. The inception of Rococo to the Geelong market place was made by Nazim in 1988 with Karen joining the Rococo team 3 years later, joining forces with Nazim and becoming a business partner in 2004.

Even though the salon has evolved dramatically over the twenty year period, a passion to extend the Rococo team dedication to everything hair and create a salon that the people of Geelong have never been exposed to before. To challenge each client and create a new culture around the overall 'hair experience'. Creating hairdressing as an art form and portraying this by creating a state of the art "hair gallery' rather then just a traditional salon. A space that would evoke a true overall "hair experience' where a client could not only get their hair styled, but escape from the realities of everyday life. You will be overwhelmed by what truly is a revolutionary new concept for a hair salon. Your senses will go wild as you admire its style, elegance and sophistication.

This passion lead Nazim to sourcing a much larger space and working with studio 101 architects, a dream became a reality. A larger space in the same street became available making the transition for both salon and clients extremely easy. Our location is in the rush of retail and commercial buzz.

So began the new Rococo 'hair experience' rising form the stripped shell of an abandoned restaurant, setting a new standard in salon design both locally and nationally. Designed by Peter Woodard of multi award winning firm Studio 101 architects, the salon exudes the same sensual experience and attention to detail that our clients expect from the Rococo team.

The carefully considered floor plan clearly defines the systematic progression of salon process. From the moment you step through the over sized glazed pivot door, past the 7 meter long cantilevered reception/ fully licensed bar to the relaxing lounge area your senses go wild as you admire the style, elegance, sophistication. Sit back, relax and unwind in our state of the art Welonda massaging chairs and basins, culminating your experience at an individual styling station with an elegant suspended mirror with our won personalized recessed LCD screen.

We are fully licensed with a bar and commercial coffee machine handled by a barista. Relax with a latte whilst dining from our in house menu from a local cafe.
